We work alongside our member organizations to deliver financial counseling, affordable lending, and homeownership services to low-to-moderate income communities across the state.

A Certified CDFI
As a U.S. Treasury-certified Community Development Financial Institution, CommunityWorks is uniquely positioned to deploy capital and services where they are needed most. We serve as an intermediary lender for USDA Rural Development and have been awarded funding from the CDFI Fund to support affordable housing and community development across West Virginia.
Since our founding, we have partnered with over 17 member organizations statewide to provide home purchase loans, down payment assistance, rehabilitation loans, consumer credit-building loans, and comprehensive housing counseling services. Our work touches every corner of the Mountain State.
